Ingredients

  • 1 medium-sized zucchini
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  • Wash the zucchini thoroughly, and peel it using a vegetable peeler.
  • Cut the zucchini into small pieces, approximately 1/2 inch in size.
  • Place the zucchini pieces in a small saucepan and add 1 cup of water.
  • Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid and let the zucchini simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the zucchini is tender.
  • Once the zucchini is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it cool down for a few minutes.
  • Transfer the zucchini and the cooking liquid to a blender or food processor.
  • Blend the zucchini until it forms a smooth puree. If the puree is too thick, add a little bit of water until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Once the puree is ready, transfer it to a container and let it cool down completely before serving it to your baby.

Notes

You can store the zucchini puree in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze it for up to 3 months.
