BLW Fritters | Rice Flour Fritters

Also known as Mosaru Kodubale; blw fritters/ rice flour fritters is the best snack for babies & a very popular snack from Karnataka. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, they make the best baby led weaning snack for babies & toddlers. These rice flour and yogurt fritters are easy to make with just a few ingredients and made within 15 mins.

- 1 cup Rice Flour
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- 1/2 cup Cilantro
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 12-15 tbsp Olive oil for deep frying
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Salt
Add a cup of yogurt and half a cup of water to a pan and bring it to a boil.
Add all the spices mentioned in the ingredients to the yogurt.
Add rice flour in parts to make a firm and soft dough. You can add extra rice flour if the dough is too watery.
Let it cook well for a couple of minutes until you see the dough formation without it sticking to the pan.
Let the dough cool down a bit.
Make small balls and roll them on the sheet making small rounds or shapes you wish to try.
If you are using an air fryer, air fry them for up to 8 mins until they are crisp outside. If you are shallow frying or deep frying, fry them in a hot oil pan.
Note that fry only for a few minutes as they become very hard when they turn brown.
- These rice flour fritters are normally white in color. Do not over fry them as they can become very hard.
- Use water and rice flour as needed. But make the dough as soft as possible.
- Optionally you can add pureed vegetables to the recipe.
