Avocado Flatbread Recipe

The avocado flatbread recipe is simple, very delicious and extremely healthy for babies and toddlers. This simple oil-free recipe is prepared using just 2 main ingredients and made using whole wheat flour. Avocado has a rich creamy flavour with a buttery texture which makes it not need any extra oil to make this avocado flatbread recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • Avocado
  • Whole wheat flour
  • Lime juice (optional)
  • Salt (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Mash a ripened avocado using a fork in a bowl until there are no lumps and it becomes a smooth paste. Optionally add lime juice and salt to avocado and mix it.
  • Add a cup of whole wheat flour or multigrain flour and mix it thoroughly to form a soft and stiff dough.
  • Add more flour if required. If the dough becomes too hard, sprinkle some water and knead again. You can choose to store the dough in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an air tight container.
  • Take equal parts from the dough and flatten them using a rolling pin. You can use some flour to dust on the surface to flatten so that the dough does not stick to the surface.
  • Meanwhile heat a pan or skillet and place the flatbread to cook.
  • Cook on both sides by flipping them. You can smear some butter or oil if required.
  • Avocado flatbread is now ready. Serve it along with yoghurt or dal or any curry of your choice.

Notes

  • The dough can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
