Avocado is the first baby food that has a lot of health benefits. It is also considered equivalent to the nutrients in breast milk. Rich in vitamin C, E, K & B6, magnesium, potassium and loaded with fibres making it a superfood for babies and toddlers.

My kids love avocado without any added salt or lime in it. But if your’s is not a big fan of its bland taste, you can make it tastier by adding lime and a pinch of salt (for babies above 12 months). This quick easy flatbread recipe is extremely soft and makes a great finger food for babies 6 months and above. It is not only good for babies but for postpartum moms who are looking to lose weight, this is a great option.

What you need for Avocado flatbread recipe?

  • Avocado – Pick a ripened avocado. It looks black outside and will be soft when you touch. If it is green, leave it for a couple of days to ripen.
  • Whole wheat flour – I personally choose an organic whole wheat flour. Alternately, you can choose to use multigrain flour.
  • Lime juice (optional) – One tbsp of lime juice helps avocado to stay green and fresh. You can choose not to add it if you are not planning to store the dough.
  • Salt (optional) – One tbsp salt can be added optionally if the baby is 12 month and above.
