Apple Oats
Apple and oats are a healthy combination for your little ones. With the goodness of fibre in oats and all the nutrients that apples bring in and with the touch of cinnamon spice, this recipe can be a great way to introduce a new taste to babies. Apple also helps with constipation so this meal can be given to babies who are struggling with constipation.

What do you need to make this homemade apple cinnamon oatmeal?
All you need to make this simple apple cinnamon oatmeal is:
- Apple – Fresh apple with or without skin and shredded. Use fresh apple to get better taste. I have used half apple in this recipe.
- Oats – Simple oats roasted and powdered makes this recipe simple and easy to make. I have used a couple spoons of powdered oats in this recipe.
- Cinnamon – A pinch of cinnamon gives a great taste with apple.
- Peanut Butter/ Almond Butter – A tbsp of nut butter makes this recipe healthier and wholesome.
- Water/ Milk – For babies under 12 months, it is recommended to use water as they cannot handle cow milk (more details here). For toddlers 12 months+ you can use cow milk to make this apple cinnamon oatmeal.
